Damian has been with The Management Trust since August 2018. During his tenure the Desert Division has seen significant growth of 113% in the number of community associations managed. We attribute this growth to his focus on driving engagement with our employee owners and clients which has resulted in building a strong team and has had a significant impact on both employee and client retention. His professional achievements include 18 years in Hospitality with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company predominantly in Food and Beverage working at properties across the U.S. and Middle East. He opened five Ritz-Carlton Hotels across the U.S. and opened the luxury brand’s resort in the Dutch Caribbean. He has achieved many awards including obtaining Forbes 5 star and AAA 5 Diamond awards across several properties and restaurants and in 2007 he won the DEPA Middle East Hotelier of the year award held in Dubai. He has led and successfully operated celebrity branded restaurants within The Ritz-Carlton LLC including Spago by Wolfgang Puck, John Elway’s Steakhouses across Colorado and Celebrity Chef Gaston Acurio’s restaurant in the Middle East. Most recent Ritz-Carlton property that he came from is The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage where he served as Director of Food and Beverage and General Manager of The Edge Steakhouse for 4 years which is located in the California Desert.
He has the following qualifications: Bachelor of Arts in Leisure, Tourism and Recreation Management, Higher National Diploma in Leisure Studies, General National Vocational Qualification in Leisure and Tourism Certified by LCGI - Licentiateship of the City and Guilds Institution of London.
He is a proud and patriotic Welshman, hails from Britain’s Smallest City – St. David’s in Pembrokeshire in West Wales, United Kingdom.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing pool, watching Rugby and American Football and giving back to the Community which he does to many non-profit organizations. He joined the Board of Directors for Desert Arc in 2018 and is currently on his fifth year as Board President. Desert Arc is a Non-Profit Organization that has been providing Opportunities for People with Disabilities for over 60 years. Damian is also an Ambassador for the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce and is Co-Chair of the Community Associations Institute, Coachella Valley (CAI) Education Committee.
Back in September of 2022 Damian got recognized, selected and presented with the coveted award as a “Few Good Men and Women of the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley” for his work in philanthropy and commitment to The Ronald McDonald House Charities in addition to many other non-profit organizations.
